Having spent over 20 years as an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) and 15 years specializing in special education within York Region District School Board, I’ve witnessed firsthand the challenges families face when navigating Ontario’s education system—especially when their child has a learning difference. Many parents feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and often unheard as they try to understand processes like Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Identification, Placement, and Review Committees (IPRCs). I’ve seen how these systemic complexities can leave families feeling apprehensive about their child’s academic successes.
That’s why I became an educational consultant: to bridge that gap. I offer compassionate, evidence-based support to help families and schools navigate the Ontario system effectively. Whether it’s preparing for standardized testing, developing a meaningful IEP, advocating for necessary accommodations, or guiding students through course selections and executive functioning strategies, I’m here to ensure that every learner and family receives the support they deserve.
